Feywild Grooming Policies and Procedures

Our policies and procedures are designed to ensure the safety of your pets and our team. We are committed to providing a secure and nurturing environment for all. Your trust is important to us, and we take every measure to protect both your pets and our staff. Thank you for partnering with us in this effort!

Appointment Times

Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Dogs more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled and may be charged a no-show fee.
If you're early, we may not be able to take your dog in until their scheduled time—our focus is on one pet at a time for safety and comfort.

Cancellations & No-Shows

We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
No-shows or late cancellations may be charged a $25 fee or may be required to prepay for future appointments.
Life happens—we get it! Please communicate with us as early as possible.

Pick-Up Policy

You will be notified when your dog is ready for pickup.
Please pick up your dog within 30 minutes of being notified to avoid a late pick-up fee.
Dogs left longer may be subject to an extended stay fee ($10/hour) as space is limited.

Vaccination Requirements

All dogs must be current on rabies (proof required).
We also recommend DHPP and Bordetella (kennel cough), especially for social dogs.

Behavior & Safety

We use fear-free, low-stress techniques and will always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort.
If your dog becomes too stressed or aggressive, we may stop the groom and contact you.
A handling fee may apply for pets that require extra time or support.

Flea & Tick Policy

All pets must be free of fleas and ticks at the time of their appointment.
If fleas or ticks are found during grooming, we will:
Stop the groom if needed
Administer a flea bath immediately to prevent spread
Apply a $15–25 fee for sanitization, depending on severity

Matted Dogs

Severe matting may require shaving for the dog’s comfort and health.
We do not de-mat extensively if it will cause pain or distress.
A matting fee may apply based on the condition of the coat.

Creative Grooming

We offer safe, pet-approved dyes and creative cuts by request.
Please let us know ahead of time if you'd like to add color or design work.
Creative grooming may require extra time and cost.

Pricing

Our grooming is priced by time, so you only pay for the care your pet actually needs. We reserve enough time to avoid rushing, but many pets finish faster than expected, so your final cost may be LESS than the price shown when booking.

Photos & Social Media

We may take photos of your dog for our social media or website.
If you’d prefer we don’t, just let us know—no problem at all!
